I'm back in the ghetto, where I live and work. This is my take on working as a librarian.

I volunteered to work today
Kinda sorta. We have to work 1 Sunday each quarter. I chose today because I knew a lot of people wouldn't want to work today. I had worked Easter Sunday 5 years in a row, in my previous position.
This year was different. I was HNIC, or HBIC, however you want to describe it. Luck was on my side because nothing happened.
The last Sunday the I was in charge(my first time,)3 branches had staff call-out sick. I had to juggle staff from 1 location to another. I was stressed from 12-1pm(the time in which the branches open on Sunday.)
The only thing I had to deal with was the non-stop telephone calls asking if we were open today.

Hahahahahaha! I can relate. Last week everyone was "oh it will be so slow this week" but students called all day asking if it was school that day O_o! Really? Don't you go to said schools?
I'm still getting calls asking if we are open. Since we are in a temporary location, they also call asking where we are in the building, while they are outside the building.
